The City of Midlothian, Texas is offering an excellent opportunity for a professional engineer with a background in water treatment and capital improvement program management to serve as the Assistant Director of Engineering & Utilities. This position will provide a career professional, or an up-and-coming engineer, with a cornerstone opportunity to work alongside the Director of Engineering & Utilities in the leadership of the Engineering and Water Utilities departments.


Midlothian’s Engineering Department is at the forefront of the City’s continued growth and development. The Engineering Department, in partnership with the City’s Water Utility, manages the planning, coordinating, and carrying out of municipal infrastructure development plans including roads, water supply systems, sanitary sewer systems, and public facilities. The Engineering Department evaluates all development proposals and plans, conducts feasibility studies, and makes recommendations regarding infrastructure improvements and long-term development plans to ensure the City’s infrastructure meets the needs of current and future residents and businesses.
